The Name

            Named in honor of Marcelo H. del Pilar, considered the greatest Filipino journalist of his time, founder of Diariong Tagalog and editor of the propaganda organ "La Solidaridad." He succeeded Graceano Lopez Jaena as publisher of La Solidaridad in 1889 using "Plaridel" as his pen name. Del Pilar is also acclaimed as the father of Philippine Masonry.

The Lodge

            This lodge is the handiwork of fifty-four (54) brethren from Meycawayan, Valenzuela and other towns of Bulacan who filed a petition with the Grand Lodge praying that a dispensation be issued authorizing them to form a new lodge at the heart of Meycawayan town. VW James R. Ruckman, District Deputy Grand Master, favorably endorsed the organization the new lodge in his district. On January 23, 1985, Grand Master Reynato S.
