He has more than 35 years of global leadership experience in both vehicle manufacturers and suppliers with business and operations responsibilities in the Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. Between 2003 and 2005, Mr. Alapont was Chief Executive Officer and a Director of IVECO, the commercial vehicle company of the Fiat Group. In addition, he served in various key executive positions from 1997 to 2003 at Delphi Corporation, where he began as Executive Director of International Operations, eventually rising to President of Delphi’s international operations and Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Previously, Mr. Alapont served in several executive roles at Valeo and formed part of the company’s strategy board. He began his automotive career at Ford Motor Company in 1974.
